Baked Ham with Horseradish Glaze

Ingredients

  • one 18 lb. fully cooked Bone-In Smoked Ham
  • 48 whole cloves
  • 4 cups water
  • 1 cup ginger marmalade
  • 1/4 cup prepared cream-style horseradish
  • 1/4 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
  • 2 cups orange juice

Directions

  • 1. Preheat standard oven to 325°F. Place ham on rack in large roasting pan. Score ham in diamond pattern. Press 1 clove into center of each diamond. Pour water into roasting pan. Bake ham 1-1/2 hours.
  • 2. Meanwhile, whisk marmalade, horseradish and brown sugar until blended.
  • 3. Remove ham from oven. Drain and discard pan juices. Add orange juice to roasting pan. Brush top of ham with 1/3 of the marmalade mixture. Bake ham 10 minutes. Baste with orange juice; brush with half of the remaining glaze. Bake 10 minutes. Baste with orange juice and brush with remaining glaze. Continue baking 18 to 20 minutes or until ham is heated through, basting once with orange juice. Let ham rest 15 minutes. Transfer to platter. Serve ham hot, warm, or at room temperature.
