Chopped Salad with Ham & Goat Cheese
Ingredients
1 Tbsp. butter
1/2 tsp. Chinese Five-Spice Powder
1 Tbsp. butter
1/2 cup pecan halves
1/4 cup Italian Salad Dressing
2 Tbsp. dry sherry
1 package (10 oz.) Italian-style mixed greens
8 oz. julienne ham
1/2 small cucumber, horizontally cut in half and sliced
1 cup halved cherry tomatoes
1 cup fresh pea pods, halved cross wise
2 oz. crumbled goat cheese
Directions
1. Melt butter in a small skillet on medium heat. Stir in five-spice powder. Add pecans. Cook and stir until nuts are toasted; set aside.
2. Whisk salad dressing and sherry until combined; set aside.
4. Combine salad greens, ham, cucumber, tomatoes, pea pods and toasted pecans in a large bowl. Gently toss with salad dressing mixture.
5. Divide mixture evenly between 4 plates. Sprinkle with cheese and serve.
