1. Bring potatoes and celery root in water to cover in saucepan to a boil on medium-high heat; reduce heat to medium-low. Simmer, uncovered, 6 to 8 minutes or until vegetables are tender when pierced with a fork. Drain and return to pot.
2. Add milk and butter. Mash with a potato masher until almost smooth. Keep warm until ready to use. Sprinkle each serving with bacon.
