Pizza with Sopressata, Blue Cheese and Caramelized Onions


  • 2 oz. canola oil
  • 2 cups thinly sliced Spanish onions
  • 4 oz. olive oil
  • 1 oz. minced fresh garlic
  • 4 (6-inch diameter) prepared pizza crusts
  • 12 oz. thinly sliced sopressata
  • 8 oz. crumbled Blue cheese


  • 1. Preheat standard oven to 375°F. Sauté onions in canola oil in medium skillet on medium-low heat 12 to 15 minutes or until caramelized, stirring occasionally.
  • 2. Combine olive oil and garlic. Place pizza crusts on full sheet pan. Spread crusts evenly with olive oil mixture. Top with onions, sopressata and cheese.
  • 3. Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until cheese is melted and edge of crust is golden. Plate 1 pizza per serving.
