Open Faced Bavarian Ham, Cheddar and Apple Sandwiches


  • 3 ciabatta rolls, horizontally cut in half, toasted
  • 6 Tbsp. apple butter
  • 4 Tbsp. Dijon mustard
  • 1-1/4 lb. sliced Bavarian ham
  • 24 slices (1/2 oz. each) sliced extra-sharp white Cheddar cheese
  • 1 bunch fresh chives, chopped


  • 1. Spread combined apple butter and mustard on cut sides of rolls. Divide ham and cheese over bottom of rolls. Place under salamander or broiler 1 minute or until cheese is melted. Sprinkle with chives. Cover with top of rolls and serve.
