Ham & Bacon Steakhouse Sandwich
Ingredients
1 tsp. vegetable oil
2 oz. thinly sliced onion
4 oz. sliced ham
2 strips cooked bacon
2 slices (1/2 oz. each) Cheddar cheese
1 sourdough roll, horizontally cut in half, toasted
1 oz. shredded romaine lettuce
1 oz. sliced tomato
2 Tbsp. mayonnaise
1 tsp. crushed chipotle pepper in adobo sauce
Directions
1. Heat oil in small skillet on medium heat. Add onions and cook 1 to 2 minutes or until light golden brown. Set aside.
2. Layer ham, bacon and cheese on quarter sheet pan. Heat under salamander or broiler 1 minute or until cheese is melted.
3. Place lettuce and tomato on bottom half of roll. Top with ham mixture, combined mayonnaise and chipotle pepper, and cooked onion.
4. Cover with top of roll and serve.
