Muffuletta Sandwich

Ingredients

  • 1 loaf (16 oz.) fresh Italian bread, horizontally cut in half
  • 1/3 cup olive oil
  • 1/3 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 Tbsp. dried basil
  • 1 Tbsp. dried oregano
  • 8 oil-cured black olives, drained, pitted, chopped
  • 8 pitted green olives, drained, chopped
  • 4 oz. thinly sliced ham
  • 4 oz. thinly sliced salami
  • 8 oz. sliced Provolone cheese
  • 4 oz. sliced Mozzarella cheese

Directions

  • 1. Drizzle cut sides of bread with olive oil. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese, basil and oregano.
  • 2. Evenly layer bottom half of bread with olives, ham, salami and cheeses.
  • 3. Cover with top of bread. Cut into 4 pieces and serve.
