8 slices country style white bread, (each 1/2-inch thick)
16 slices (1/2 oz. each) Cheddar cheese, divided
4 oz. thinly sliced smoked ham
1/2 thinly sliced small red onion
1 thinly sliced large tomato
Directions
1. Combine butter, mustard, parsley and thyme; set aside.
2. Cover 4 slices of the bread with half of the cheese. Top evenly with ham, onion and tomato. Cover with remaining bread slices. Spread butter mixture on outside of sandwiches.
3. Grill sandwiches in large skillet on medium heat 2 to 3 minutes per side or until bread is golden and cheese is melted. Cut sandwiches in half and serve.
