Carolina BBQ Sandwich

Ingredients

  • 4 oz. shaved ham
  • 2 slices (1/2 oz. each) Cheddar cheese
  • 1 sourdough roll, horizontally cut in half, toasted
  • 1 oz. shredded romaine lettuce
  • 1 slice tomato
  • 1/2 oz. julienne carrots
  • 1/2 oz. slivered red onion
  • 1 Tbsp. minced fresh garlic
  • 1 Tbsp. chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 Tbsp. barbecue sauce

Directions

  • 1. Place ham and cheese on oven-proof plate under heated salamander or broiler until cheese is melted.
  • 2. Place lettuce and tomato on bottom half of roll. Top with ham and melted cheese.
  • 3. Combine carrot, onion, garlic, parsley and barbecue sauce.
  • 4. Spread carrot mixture over cheese. Cover with top of roll and serve.
