1. Place green beans in pot with water to cover. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium-low. Simmer, uncovered, 4 to 6 minutes or until tender-crisp. Drain. Place in ice water to stop additional cooking.
2. Meanwhile, cook bacon in skillet on medium heat until brown and crisp. Remove bacon and drain on paper towels. Reserve drippings in skillet.
3. Add butter to drippings. Sauté shallots in skillet on medium heat 2 to 3 minutes or until translucent. Stir in sage. Drain beans. Add to skillet. Heat through.
4. Divide green bean mixture evenly among 6 plates. Sprinkle with bacon before serving.
