Stuffed Mushrooms

Ingredients

  • Cooking spray
  • 1 lb. Italian hot sausage, casings removed
  • 1-1/2 tsp. dried oregano
  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 package (8 oz.) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 large egg yolk
  • 24 mushrooms (each 2-inches in diameter), stems removed
  • 1/3 cup dry white wine

Directions

  • 1. Preheat standard oven to 350°F. Coat full sheet pan with cooking spray; set aside.
  • 2. Cook sausage and oregano in heavy skillet on medium heat until sausage is fully cooked; drain.
  • 3. Combine sausage, cheese, garlic powder, Worcestershire, cream cheese and egg until thoroughly blended.
  • 4. Stuff mushrooms with filling. Place on prepared pan. Drizzle mushrooms with wine.
  • 5. Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until mushrooms are tender and filling is browned. Serve warm.
