Ham & Bacon Steakhouse Sandwich

Ingredients

  • 1 tsp. vegetable oil
  • 2 oz. thinly sliced onion
  • 4 oz. sliced ham
  • 2 strips cooked bacon
  • 2 slices (1/2 oz. each) Cheddar cheese
  • 1 sourdough roll, horizontally cut in half, toasted
  • 1 oz. shredded romaine lettuce
  • 1 oz. sliced tomato
  • 2 Tbsp. mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp. crushed chipotle pepper in adobo sauce

Directions

  • 1. Heat oil in small skillet on medium heat. Add onions and cook 1 to 2 minutes or until light golden brown. Set aside.
  • 2. Layer ham, bacon and cheese on quarter sheet pan. Heat under salamander or broiler 1 minute or until cheese is melted.
  • 3. Place lettuce and tomato on bottom half of roll. Top with ham mixture, combined mayonnaise and chipotle pepper, and cooked onion.
  • 4. Cover with top of roll and serve.
